Our Company History

The KRD success story began back in 1967. It has essentially been shaped by Mr Gerd Brammer, the company’s managing partner. That was the year in which Mr Brammer established KRD Handel und Service GmbH in Hamburg. He and his wife, Ms Elsbeth Brammer, managed the company into a successful enterprise.

 In 1987 Mr Brammer founded KRD Sicherheitstechnik GmbH, also in Hamburg. The foundation for its success can be found especially in the many years of experience in actual practice and the specific expertise of its founder. KRD Sicherheitstechnik GmbH began by producing safety glass windows for squad transporters for the police. The company came up with new solutions and pioneering applications for plastic windows which met the specific requirements of police emergency vehicles.

 Development and production has been located in Geesthacht since 1994.

 The construction of the large coating plant in 1997 provided an additional facility for the coating of plastics products with a size of up to 3,000 to 7,000 mm.

 2002: Commissioning of another production complex with an area of 2,000 m² expanded capacities even further.

 Currently a team about 60 employees.
